On June 10 . 2000 . the New Jersey Devils won the franchise's second Stanley Cup title when they defeated the Dallas Stars in overtime . in game 6 . of the 2000 finals. To get to the championship series the Devils defeated the Panthers in a four game sweep in the first round . the Maple Leafs in six games in the second round . and the Flyers in seven games in the conference finals.
